  1. Chinatown! That's on mine too.
You must see Mysterious Skin! It's so good. I need to revise my list too.

  2. I loved Chinatown (and I was running out of ideas of what to put haha). I do have to see Mysterious Skin, thanks for reminding me. I'd like to see your revised list. Would any movies from class make it on there?

  3. I'm glad both of you are in the 282 this semester and it is great to see that some of the films from last semester have had an impact. Emily, I think this is an impressive top ten list. Shannon, thanks for the reminder, I have had Mysterious Skin on my to-see list for quite some time.....

  4. I am excited to be in the class! Yes, Mysterious Skin is such an emotional film & the acting is amazing. It's one of those films that sticks with you for awhile.

  5. Shannon: Is Mysterious Skin on Netflix?

Michael: Thank you for giving me the opportunity to attend your 282 class. It's already been a learning experience for me. And thank you the compliment. City of Life and Death definitely stuck with me (I bought the film. I also ended up buying Peter Watkins' La Commune, though I haven't gotten a chance to see it yet), and Gomorrah was intriguing to me, especially what you said about the book, so I bought it. I haven't gotten a chance to read that yet either, but after seeing the movie, I'm excited for it.
